MAGAZINE ARQ 58 | December 2004 In a world where the culture of images prevails, where photographs and renders have become the favored means of communication, we stop for a moment to examine architectural plans. As the building’s footprint on the site, the plan holds important keys to the project, both as the means of representation and the design tool for the architect, and as the tracing and instructions for the builder. The plan is invisible to the inhabitants, but it defines precisely the quality of the spaces we live in. In this edition we offer a selection of projects, sacrificing photographs to see them once again in the plan. |
