| April 2007 Architecture and place have been linked from different points of view, but their relationship has been maintained as a constant variable of the profession. From the conditions of occupation of the space to the building of a certain identity, and in a wide range of scales, territory demands a commitment from architecture, redefining its scope. This edition will revise architectural projects that establish a commitment to the territory they occupy. Landscape architecture and urbanism projects will also be included. |

Work spaces
| August
2007 What are the characteristics of these spaces today and how do we see them as architects? Thanks to the development of networks, the options for solitary and distant work are on the rise. But far from jeopardizing the existence of the enormous corporate buildings that sprung up in the mid-twentieth century, this only increases the variety of situations and conditions in which productive work takes place. This edition will take the form of a catalog of works, designs for offices, industries, places of study and workshops in their differing scales: from large corporate buildings to small studies integrated into a domestic ambiance. |

Architectural
competitions | December 2007 The relationship between architects and mid- or large-scale commissions is usually by means of an architectural competition. Usually convoked for works of public interest and certain complexity, they often tend to break down inertias on the way; they open up access to commissions and professional discussion, providing architects with the opportunity of competing among peers. The last number of ARQ 2007 will deal with the scope of architectural contests in Chile over the past ten years: projects that have been built in accordance with expectations, others that remain on paper, and a few undergoing actual construction. |
