When we speak of “place”, in this book it conjures up at least two ideas: That a work is always in a place and thus related to it; and that a work of architecture, by appearing, creates a place where things will happen. In other words, we try to move from “place” seen in a metaphysical dimension, transcendent, poetic, to a more common and garden daily “place”. The idea here is to shine a light on these places from original angles but without losing the common language that should unite us with other disciplines, with reality and with the general public.
